October 2007-April 2009
Kirby's pet rat Jr. has passed away. (No, the cat did not get him, as far as we can tell, it was from natural causes).
Jr was a great pet rat. He never bit anyone, and was the main attraction of Murphy's room. Many a child was amazed and enjoyed playing with the rats.
A memorial service will be held tomorrow evening in the back yard. Jr is survived by his brother Tiger, and will be mourned by his owners, Murphy & Kirby.
So long Jr., may the cheese in heaven be a tastey treat for ya!

Sorry to hear about the rat!
How is Kirby holding up? I used to have rats as pets when I was a kid did his teeth grow too long or did he die from another cause?
We're not sure why he died. He was a 1 1/2 years old. We just found him dead in the rat cage. Kirby is doing better, so is Murphy. I didn't know that their teeth could grow too long!
Poor little guys! I'm sure they are so sad about their pet rat.
