Harold the Cheese Footed Lego Guy

Tonight as I was tucking Kirby into bed, he wanted me to tell him some more stories about when he was a baby, or even stories about me when I was a kid. So I told him when I was little, my mother used to tell me a Kitty Story at night. That got him all excited and he told me he wanted to hear a Lego Story and a Transformer Story. I told him I would do a Lego story, and that he was in charge of the Transformer story. So here it is, my first Lego Story:
Harold was a Lego guy and he wished he had feet. So one night he climbed out of the Lego pit and went on search for some feet. (at this point Kirby interrupts and says, "if he was my Lego guy, he'd already have feet!). Harold crept down the hall and went into the kitchen. He pulled open the refrigerator door (yep, Harold works out so he's a really strong Lego guy!) and started to look around. He saw the grapes, he yanked on one of them and eventually got one pulled off the vine. As good as the grape was, it was bigger than his head, and who would want a feet bigger than their heads? So, he put it back. Then he saw the string cheese! He started to nibble some off. He nibbled more off, and then some more! What a tasty snack! He then took off two more small pieces, and they were perfect for feet! And if he got hungry later, he'd have something to snack on. So Harold jumped out of the fridge, went trekking back down the hall and back into the Lego pit. The End! (Kirby had to get a Lego guy out for me to prove that they already had feet, and here I thought I was coming up with something helpful!)

Here's Kirby's Transformer Story.
Once upon a time there was a Transformer named Bumble Bee, and he had a son named Wrecker. Wrecker was black with yellow stripes. One day Wrecker went out the window, then he went onto the road, where he transformed into a car, and he grew bigger, so everyone thought he was regular car. Wrecker went to the moon. But the moon transformed into the Death Star, and was really Darth Vader who had destroyed the planet Unicron......the rest got lost to battle noises! The end! Kirby said he now wants a Lego story and a Transformer story every night....oh boy!

Computer Guy

Dear mom,
We've all been a little busy around here, so we passed off the job of fixing your laptop to the only member of our family who had time. Apparently there was a problem with the mouse. Don't worry. Buckwheat took care of it!
As soon as we've removed all the fur from between the keys, and have pounded out the indent from Buckwheat's large butt, we'll give your computer back to you! It'll be in top working condition!

Some cats cuddle on peoples laps, ours likes to cuddle on lap tops!

Tooth Fairy Collides with the Easter Bunny

This is a little late, but Kirby lost is first tooth! Actually, he lost two at the same time. We put them in a Ziplock baggie, and with only 2 hours until bedtime, he promptly lost them again! We looked all over, they're gone! So we wrote the Tooth Fairy a note and asked her if she would accept two small white Lego's instead. (See, again we're the ultimate nerd family, we using Lego's to bargain with the Tooth Fairy!) Luckily, she accepted the substitute! Now he has a place to put a straw. Oh the excitement!
Here's Murphy. Some things never change! Some say he takes after his mother.....

Spring Break Adventure

We went mountain biking down at Gooseberry Mesa for spring break. Glad we went south, this is what our backyard looked like when we left!We stayed in a motel in St. George, we were on the second floor. Here's a picture of the kids using jumper cables to lower down stuff so we could repack it in the van. Yep, Jared showed them how to do this, guess he was feeling lazy and didn't want to walk ALL the way to the stairs!Gooseberry Mesa is about 15 miles or so out of Hurricane. There's a fun dirt road to bike on, and also lots of trails with rocks and other crazy stuff for the more advanced mountain biker. We took the kids on "Slick Rock 101" an intermediate trail, not sure if this means we're adventurous parents or completely nuts! Murphy loved it! Kirby only fell 2 or 3 times, but he still had fun. Kirby's favorite part was the Gatorade! He drank 3 bottles of it, and peed 4 times!I think we might've worn him out! I don't have too many pictures of Murphy. Once we got back on the dirt road, him and his cousin Alexis were off and going. They had to keep waiting for Kirby and me (I had to stay by him!). I mainly stayed with the kids on road, while everyone else did the more advanced crazy stuff.
This is the last picture I got of the three kids before tragedy struck.

My poor niece fell in a cactus. It was horrible! It was one of those ones with the tiny furry spines that get all over. She had them in her hands, down her legs, her butt, and I'm not sure how, but even in her toes! Poor girl. We sent Murphy down the trail to get her parents.

It was a quick trip, and a long drive, but lots of fun. On the way home Jared tried to do his homework in the car, the kids watched movies, and I jammed out to music! Nothing like singing and car dancing!

We also realized on this trip that our front tires on the van are bald! It seems like we just bought those stupid tires! Ok, so it's been two years, but really, should the front tires be that way already? The back tires are just fine, and I bought them at the same time! I know....I could've rotated the tires, but really it seems like I just bought them!

Ahhh...back to school tomorrow!
